What the map shows

  • Fenway Park is the oldest, opened in 1912. Wrigley Field (1914) is the only other park still in use from before 1960.
  • Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, is the newest (2020). Its first season was played with no fans in the stands.
  • Dodger Stadium is the biggest, at 56,000 seats. In 2026 it took its first sponsor, as UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium; the deal covers the field, and the stadium keeps its name.
  • The smallest is a minor-league park. The Athletics play at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento (about 13,400 seats) while their Las Vegas stadium is built, targeted for 2028. They also played six "home" games at Las Vegas Ballpark in June 2026.
  • Tropicana Field is back. After Hurricane Milton tore off its roof in October 2024, the Rays spent 2025 at Steinbrenner Field and returned to St. Petersburg on April 6, 2026. A new Tampa ballpark is planned for 2029.
  • 22 parks are open-air, 7 have retractable roofs, and Tropicana Field is the only fixed dome.
  • Names keep changing: Houston's park became Daikin Park in 2025, Chicago's Guaranteed Rate Field became Rate Field the same year, and Detroit's Comerica Park becomes Fifth Third Park in 2027.
  • California has the most ballparks, five, including the Athletics' temporary home.

How this map was checked

Each ballpark, its team and league come from MLB's own data for the 2026 season, and its address, location, year opened and roof from the teams' ballpark pages and Wikipedia. Capacities are the published seating figures, which often differ slightly between sources; a few parks count standing room differently. This page isn't affiliated with MLB or its teams.
