Dealer group service network

This is the service network for Verdane Auto Group, an invented dealer group with 34 locations from San Diego to Van Nuys. A fleet manager or rideshare driver filters by how many bays a shop has, how long the wait runs, whether it has EV-certified techs and whether it takes fleet accounts, then taps one button to book. Service centers, collision shops, parts hubs and mobile van bases each get their own color, so overflow can be pointed to the nearest shop with room.

A sample map: its businesses and people are invented.

The use case

Who needs a map like this

Who it’s for

Dealer groups and fleet-service operators with 10 to 100 service locations, and the fleet managers who book with them

What it’s worth

Fleets and rideshare drivers pick where to service by location, hours and open bays. A map that shows bay counts, wait times, EV-certified techs and mobile vans fills empty bays, moves overflow from a backed-up store to one with capacity, and gives a fleet manager what they need to sign a service contract.

What to notice in this map

  • Average wait in days on every row, with a range filter
  • Service bay count as a filter, from 7-stall boutiques to 26-bay fleet shops
  • EV and hybrid certified, and fleet accounts accepted, as yes filters
  • Four colors for service, collision, parts and mobile van bases
  • A "Book a fleet service" button and opening hours on each place

Make one like it in an afternoon

You don't need a developer. These are the four steps, in Create Mappins.

  1. Step 1

Create a directory map and add each service center, collision shop, parts hub and van base by address.

  2. Step 2

Add fields for service bays, average wait in days, EV and hybrid certified, fleet accounts, hours and phone, and turn on filters for the first four.

  3. Step 3

Make four categories, one per location type, and write each place's lift count, alignment rack or after-hours drop in its description.

  4. Step 4

Set the opening view to your region, then publish and embed the map on your fleet-services page or send the link to a fleet buyer.
