Road trip itinerary
Three days down California's Highway 1, from the Golden Gate to Hearst Castle, laid out as an itinerary. Eight stops are grouped by day, each day a different route color with the drive between stops drawn on the map. Every stop has a photo and a practical tip, such as where to pull out for the best view or when the aquarium feeds the kelp forest. One link gives travelers the plan on their phones.
A sample map: its businesses and people are invented.
